Forest Rights Act, 2006

Scheduled Tribes & Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (RoFR) Act, 2006 was notified by the Govt. of India on 2nd January , 2007. Scheduled Tribes & Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (RoFR) Rules, 2007 was notified in the Gazette of India on 1st January, 2008. As per provision of the Forest Rights Act, Tribal Welfare Department is the Nodal Department for implementation of the various provisions of the Forest Rights Act. 2006.

For smooth and effective implementation of the provisions of the SOTFD (RoFR) Act, 2006 and SOTFD (RoFR) Rules, 2007, the following committees had been constituted:
